How to Make Burasa
If you want to make burasa, you need to prepare the tools like
stove, plastic rope, spatula, pan, spoon, and sauce pan. The Ingredients that
you have to prepare are old banana leaf and new banana leaf that has been cut
rectangle but the old banana leaf must be bigger than the new banana leaf and
the banana leaf must be wither first with dry it under the sun shine, coconut
milk 1L and mix it with water 1L, water 4L, rice 2L that has been washed, salt
1 tea spoon.
This is the important part of making burasa. First, heat the coconut
milk into the pan and wait until boil, next add the rice and salt, then stir it with
spatula until the water absorb into the rice. After that, stop the stove. Next, lift and cool down the rice. If you feel that the rice already cool down, you
need to prepare the banana leaf.
The next step is wrap the rice. Stack the banana leaf, put the new
banana leaf on the old banana leaf then take a rice with spoon for two times
and put it also on the new banana leaf. Next, you have to wrap it like a
rectangle. After you wrap it all, take two of the rectangle of the wraps and
bundle it with plastic rope from one side of the tip until the other side of tip.
When you tip it, make sure that you tight it in the edge of tip but don’t make it
tight in the middle because it can influencing cooked. Next, boil the water in
sauce pan, include the burasa and wait for 2 hours. Finally, burasa ready to
dishes.
