How To Make Burasa

    Hello guys and welcome to our blog...in my first article, i am gonna show you how to make buras. You maybe wonder "what is buras ?, where does it come from ?, what it taste like ?, how to make it ?" well, your questions are gonna be answered in this article. Buras is one of the most iconic food in South Sulawesi. We usually make it when Eid Fitri or Adha and we serve it with chicken curry, Coto Makassar, tender beef meat,etc. okay...and now i am gonna give you the recipe of how to make a delicious and delight buras with easy and simple way.

    Okay...the first thing is to prepare the ingredients and any other material in order to make buras. The ingredients are 250 gr rice, 750 ml coconut milk, it will be more delicious if the coconut milk is homemade, salt, 1 bay leaf, and banana leaves to wrap the buras. The other materials are straps to bind the buras later, the steamer pan,stove, and pot. Now it's time to make our burasa.

    First, you must wash the rice until it's clean. while you wash it, heat your coconut milk on the steamer pan and stir it well and slowly. Next, steam the rice and stir it well for 15 minutes. While you wait for the rice, put the coconut milk that has been heated into the pot and also include with salt sufficiently and add 1 bay leaf until its boiling. After the other ingredients are boiled, add the rice to the pot, and let the ingredients absorb to the rice. Next, we need to wrap it with banana leaves. Now put the rice into the banana leaves and wrap it. After that bind it with stripes in order to make the rice still intact. Finally, steam the buras into the steamer until it change color to dark brownish aaaaaannnnddd....there you have it, a simple yet delightful buras is ready to serve.
